Artist summary:

Nora Côté-El Haïli is an artist and creator who’s passionate about sharing her love and knowledge of dance. She’s a dancer classically trained in contemporary and modern dance who honed her skills at the École de danse contemporaine de Montréal. She has developed a signature style of movement that combines various dance forms like Ballet, Hip Hop, Krump and breakdance. Over the past 10 years as a dancer, nothing’s resonated with her more than “In Situ Dance”, a raw form of movement performed in public spaces. This dance style involves living in the moment and playing off the surrounding environment. Her free-flowing choreography celebrates the beauty of the human body and reinvents traditional dance styles in a new and innovative way. When she performs, she lets go of her inhibitions and allows herself to become truly and utterly immersed in the human experience. To her, that’s what dance is all about:

“I think everyone should be in tune with their body and know how to express and heal themselves through movement. Dance isn’t always about performing. My goal is to share my knowledge of dance and make the technical aspects more accessible.”
